CSKA Moscow has played 8 matches so far and has gained a total of 18 points. Terek Gozny, which is at the top of the table, has one point more than Moscow. The Moscow players were aggressive in the first half, but, they weren’t able to score any goal in the first 45 minutes. The Red Army took the lead in the 4th minute of the second half when Keisuke Honda found the net with a superb shot. The Nigerian international, Ahmed Musa, set up the goal and Honda made full use of the opportunity. It was Honda again who doubled the lead of his team in the 54th minute of the match. The second goal was also set up by Musa. He gave a precise pass to Honda who scored his second goal in the match.

The manager of CSKA Moscow, Leonid Slutsky, was delighted with the performance of Musa and Honda in the match. As per Slutsky, these two guys were superb today. There was brilliant coordination between both of them. It was one of those matches in which nothing went wrong for the team. It’s wonderful that the team is just one point behind Terek Gozny. Hopefully, the players would keep performing well in the further matches and take the team to no. 1 spot in the points table.
