Zoran Tosic signed for Manchester United as a hot prospect but the player was unable to make the most of the opportunities given to him by then manager Ferguson. Zoran Tosic arrived at Manchester United at a time when they were the best team in Europe having seen off Premier League rivals Chelsea to win the 2007/08 Champions League title. The two teams played out a 1-1 draw after two hours of football before Frenchman Nicholas Anelka missed in sudden death during penalty shootout to hand the Red Devils a second Champions League title and a third European title overall.

Tosic signed for the Red Devils in January 2009 and he failed to make any impact at the club. The Serbian player told The Athletic that he felt overawed at Manchester United. According to him, he was overwhelmed by the quality of the players in the team at the time of his arrival.

Zoran Tosicsaid he was not at the level of players like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and others when he signed for Manchester United over a decade ago and that it was a big surprise to see these players train at 200% despite what they have achieved in the game.

The Serbian national team winger featured two times in the league for Manchester United during his one-year stay at the Theatre of Dreams before he left for Partizan Belgrade in his native Serbia.
