Former Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic has weighed in on the Paul Pogba debate amid reports that the French midfielder is set to leave Old Trafford and sign for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Pogba is now more likely than ever to leave United and is now edging closer to leaving the English Premier League giants after recently rejecting the club’s latest contract offer of €430,000-per-week. United clearly want to keep the midfielder but after persuading him in the last couple of transfer windows to remain in their books, they may have no choice but to sell him this summer if they don’t want to risk losing him on a free next summer.

Tosic has now revealed that he understands Pogba’s situation, also adding that he knows the midfielder would want to have the experience of playing for Paris Saint-Germain next season as he also wants to win more trophies before the end of his career. Pogba has not won the Premier League or Champions League title since rejoining United back in the summer transfer window of 2016 after José Mourinho convinced him to make a return to the club where his career started.

He has reportedly concluded that he would have a better chance of winning more titles, including the Champions League trophy, at the Parc des Princes and that seems to be the sole reason he is pushing for the move. Tosic said that United should let the player leave the club if he insists he wants to leave because his head would be somewhere else even if he’s present at Old Trafford.

Tosic may not ring a bell to a lot of Manchester United fans but the midfielder signed for the Red Devils back in 2009. He left just two years after having an underwhelming spell at the Theater of Dreams and has since revealed his regrets of leaving the club too early.
